A message from the President
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the Garrett County Agriculture Fair!
For 56 consecutive years the Garrett County Fair has provided an opportunity for local residents and visitors alike to join in making new acquaintances, renewing old friendships and most importantly celebrating everything that is good about agriculture in Garrett County. The Garrett County Fair Board of Directors has gone to great lengths to preserve this tradition so the youth of today may be part of this experience. Agriculture will always be an important part of our fair - a fact that we speak about proudly and work hard to sustain.
We are also extremely proud to be able to provide a venue where we are giving back to the community. As many of you are aware, all of our food vendors are local service organizations that are here to raise monies for their clubs and charities. What better way to support your community than to come to the fair, enjoy the sites and frequent each of the food stands for a wide variety of great foods, at affordable costs knowing that the money is going directly back into our community.
We are very excited about our new exhibit space, our new midway and new displays. We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for you for 2012. Reithoffer Shows will be entertaining you on the midway for their fi rst year. We have much improved acoustics in our new exhibit center for your listening pleasure. Enhanced and new entertainment, starting earlier and going into the late evening, expanded antique equipment displays/demonstrations, interactive exhibits where you can learn how the products are made and have an opportunity to purchase. Enjoy ongoing demonstrations and cooking shows to learn how our food goes from farm to table.
Come early, come often and stay late, you are not going to want to miss a single event! Experience the flavor of Garrett County at its BEST.

As the President of the Garrett County Agriculture Fair, I want everyone to know what a privilege it is for me to work along side the 24 volunteer members of the Board. Each and every one of them is deeply committed to the Fair, and works continually in support of the organization. They give freely and unselfishly of their time, talent and resources to not only sustain, but to also improve your fair experience.
Joining the Board is a group of dedicated volunteers without whose support the fair would not be possible. I am proud and humbled to work beside and with each of you. May God Bless You richly for your service.
